歌手 Dan Fogelberg,1951 年8月13日生于伊利诺州 (Illinois) 的&nbspeoria.十四岁开始学习钢琴,后来又进一步学习吉他和作曲,为以后往歌坛发展做准备.为了往歌唱圈发展,Fogelberg 于1971年毅然放弃即将到手的伊利诺大学艺术系学士学位, 开始他的歌唱事业, 在民谣界闯出自己的一片天空后,移居加州, 并追随Van .Morrison到各地参加巡回演唱会.而引起名制作人 Norbert&nbsputnam 的注意,1973 年与哥伦比亚唱片公司签约, 发行的第一张专辑 "Home Free" 成绩并不理想.随后转加入 Epic 唱片公司,第二张专辑 "Souvenirs" 于 1975 年推出后, 佳评如潮, 不但获得乐评家的赞赏, 也获得商业上的成功, 得到专辑排行第十七名.单曲 "art Of The&nbspain" 得到第三十一名,Dan Fogelberg挤身进入美国知名作曲家兼歌手的行列.
